Heat Transfer Label Manufacturers Introduced Principle and Proc

  • The main material for hot stamping introduced by heat transfer label manufacturers is anodized aluminum, also called hot stamping foil. It is mainly composed of two thin layers, namely a polyester film substrate and a transfer layer. During hot stamping, the transfer layer is stamped on all or part of the surface of the printing object by the effect of heat and pressure. When the hot stamping is completed, the edges of the polyester film are torn off together with the parts that have not been transferred.

    The hot stamping process is divided into four steps:
    1. The hot stamping foil is in contact with the substrate;
    2. With heat and pressure, the thermal transfer layer is fused and transferred to the surface of the substrate;
    3. Remove the pressure and peel off the polyester film;
    4. Feed the hot stamping foil and replace it with the substrate to be hot stamped.
    The perfect hot stamping effect mainly depends on the level of coordination with temperature, pressure and hot stamping time. In addition, it is necessary to consider whether the substrate, hot stamping machine, hot stamping machine fixtures, and backing plates are appropriate. Finally, study the environmental conditions, including indoor temperature, substrate temperature, cleanliness of indoor air (dust content), temperature, etc. .

    1. Hot stamping foil, there are two types of roll and single foil, rolls can be divided into different models according to the printing material. The ironing suitability, speed, temperature, pressure, quality of the hot stamping plate and pad technology between the anodized aluminum and the ironing material, the tension adjustment of the anodized aluminum, the machine condition of the hot stamping machine and many other factors, and the Hot stamping suitability speed, temperature and pressure are the most important. Various types of anodized aluminum have different properties, and the suitable printing materials are also different.

    2. The hot stamping temperature. If the hot stamping temperature is too high, the hot stamping mark will lose its metallic luster and blisters, the edges will be unclear or even paste the board. If the hot stamping temperature is too low, the hot stamping will not be possible, the hot stamping will not be firm or the handwriting will become fuzzy.

    3. Hot stamping pressure. If the stamping pressure is too high, it will cause the paste or the handwriting to become blurred. If the stamping pressure is too small, the hot stamping foil cannot adhere to the substrate, and the hot stamping part of the hot stamping foil cannot be cut. The hot stamping foil should not be installed too tightly or too loosely. When it is too tight, the handwriting will be missing and broken, and when it is too loose, the handwriting will be blurred.

    4. Hot stamping speed. The hot stamping speed actually reflects the contact time between the substrate and the hot stamping foil during hot stamping, and directly affects the hot stamping fastness. If the hot stamping speed is too fast, it will cause the hot stamping to fail or the imprinting to be bloated. ; The hot stamping speed is too slow, which will not only affect the quality of hot stamping, but also affect the production efficiency.

    In the hot stamping process, the speed, pressure and temperature are mutually restricted, and the process parameters are always determined in the order of stamping speed, pressure and temperature. First determine the hot stamping speed, under normal circumstances, it is treated as a constant, not easily changed. Then find out the appropriate hot stamping pressure and hot stamping temperature. In this way, the operating procedures can be simplified and the quality of hot stamping can be easily controlled.

    1. Hot stamping machine, according to the hot stamping method, the hot stamping machine can be divided into three types: flat pressing, round pressing and round pressing; according to the position of the hot stamping plate, the hot stamping machine can be divided into vertical and horizontal .

    2. Substrates, hot stamping materials are also called substrates, printed materials hot stamping substrates include offset paper, coated paper, white cardboard (cardboard) cloth pattern paper and varnished cloth, plastic products, etc.
      In addition, the resin plate can also replace the copper-zinc plate for hot stamping, as long as the temperature and pressure are well matched, a good product can also be hot stamped. 1) The control of temperature is very important, it is directly related to the quality of hot stamping. If the temperature is too high, the resin plate will be scorched. The hot stamping foil will also be stuck due to the influence of temperature, and the words will be blurred. The temperature should be determined according to the quality of the tree. 2). Because the resin plate is tough, there is no need to use too much pressure, and the hot writing will be very clear. 3) It is best to use double-sided tape to fix the resin plate. This tape will not affect the heat insulation and is easy to control the temperature.

    The operator of the hot stamping machine must concentrate, work with hands and feet synchronously, and keep a certain distance from the hot stamping plate to avoid accidents. For machine adjustment, please read the accompanying manual carefully.
