Greek plays are believed to be the first dramatic works and have come down through the ages. Today's dramas are not as popular as they once were, but they are still produced and enjoyed by many people in various parts of the world.

  Dramas can be divided into categories: tragedy, comedy, and romance. A tragedy is a story about an event that ends in death or destruction; comedy is about something that ends in laughter; and romance is about love between two or more people (such as Romeo and Juliet).
  The purpose of drama is not just to entertain the audience; it also teaches them about human nature. For example, one play may make fun of a king who does not know what he wants or needs to succeed (like King Lear). Another space may show how people can learn from their mistakes and change for the better (like in Aesop's Fables).  less
